COVID-19 SAFETY PLAN

Below you will find details regarding our safety plan and protocols. Please check back frequently for updates.

IMPORTANT NOTE PER STATE GUIDELINES (Updates will be posted as they become available):

  • KidZone Childcare at Falling Springs – hopes to reopen in May. Watch for updates!
  • The locker rooms are open.
  • Maintain social distancing at all times.
  • Recreational swimming and diving are not permitted in the indoor pool.

PARKS & RECREATION OFFICES

The Parks & Recreation offices located at Falling Springs Center are open. To maintain safety for patrons an staff, we have made the following changes:

  • ACCESSING THE OFFICE
    • NOTE:  WHENEVER POSSIBLE, PLEASE UTILIZE OUR ONLINE REGISTRATION SYSTEM, EMAIL OR CALL US FOR REGISTRATIONS, PASS PURCHASES, ETC. *
    • The lobby has been divided down the middle.  All visitors must use the doors on the left side of the main entrance.
    • The main office is to the right.
    • Just outside the office doors there are side tables and chairs. These are to be used for completing any paperwork.  Clipboards & pens are provided along with disinfecting wipes.
    • Please maintain social distancing at all times.

GENERAL NOTES – FALLING SPRINGS CENTER

Falling Springs Center re-opened with modifications on Monday, June 1st. To maintain safety for patrons an staff, the following changes have been made upon entry:

  • The lobby has been divided down the middle.  All visitors must use the doors on the left side of the main entrance.
  • Move forward to the Main Lobby check in desk. Please maintain social distancing at all times (the floor has been marked with red tape every 6 feet for your convenience).
  • At the main desk, members should swipe their membership cards or visit cards to enter the building.
  • Non-members must pay the daily fee.
  • All seating & common areas are closed.  Please do not gather in groups.
  • Practice social distancing at all times.
  • Be a good neighbor! stay home if you are sick or are not feeling well.
  • Employees will be temperature checked upon arrival & will be wearing masks around the building.
  • Water fountains have been disabled. Water bottle fillers are available. Please bring your own water bottle.

FITNESS ROOM

  • Cardio equipment not requiring power has been moved to court 3 in the gymnasium and spread out to maintain safe social distancing.
  • Treadmills and other equipment requiring power has been spread out across the fitness room.
  • Machine weights remain in their existing locations. Please follow the instructions on all signage to maintain safe social distancing.
  • Free weights remain in the free weight room. Please do not move benches or other equipment.
  • Please wash your hands before and after exercise.
  • Please spray & wipe down any equipment before & after use. This includes barbells, plates, dumbbells, cardio equipment, medicine balls, etc.
  • Water fountains have been disabled. Water bottle fillers are operational, so be sure to bring your own water bottle.
  • Maintain social distancing at all times and do not congregate in groups.
  • The locker rooms are open.
  • Maintain social distancing at all times.

GROUP FITNESS CLASSES

  • Morning classes meet in the gym on court 1 unless noted otherwise on the Group Fitness Schedule (no pre-registration for these classes).
  • EVENING Group Fitness classes are now meeting upstairs in the aerobics rooms and now require preregistration due to limited capacity (TRX meets on Court 3)
  • Registration for EVENING Group Fitness classes will open on THURSDAYS at 12:30 PM for the following week’s classes (Monday-Sunday).
    • *If a holiday falls on a Thursday, then registration will open on Wednesday at 12:30.* 

HOW TO BOOK AN EVENING FITNESS CLASS:

ONLINE REGISTRATION TIPS:

  • Anyone who has registered for a pass, program, activity, league or made a facility reservation in the past (or has a household member who has done so) already has an account.
  • If you have never registered for a program, pass or reservation and have not already set up an account, you will need to do so following the instructions at the link above.
  • If you try to set up an account and you get an error message indicating a duplicate name, address, email address, etc, please do NOT continue – most likely you have already have an account and just didn’t realize it. Instead, please contact the office to get your log-in credentials or so we can troubleshoot why it’s not letting you set up an account.
  • Once you are logged in, please check your household information and make sure it us up to date for you and any family members on the account, including your email address, phone number, mailing address and all birth dates.
  • If you have never had a transaction with us in the past, make sure you set up your account with an adult as the Primary Guardian and then add any additional guardians or children.  Do NOT list a child as the Primary Guardian.
  • Group Fitness Class booking is available by scrolling down the page and clicking on the image titled “ALL ACTIVITIES” or by clicking “SEARCH” on the navigation bar, clicking “ACTIVITY SELECTION” and entering “GROUP” or “FITNESS” in the search bar.

I HAVE PARTICIPATED IN OTHER PROGRAMS, HAVE OR HAVE HAD A PASS OR HAVE MADE A RESERVATION BEFORE. HOW DO GET MY LOG-IN INFORMATION?

  • If you have an account, your log-in information is your household ID number.
  • This number is your Username AND Password for your initial log-in.
  • This number is printed all Parks & Recreation receipts
  • If you do not have a receipt from a previous transaction, please contact the office by email or at 859.873.5948 and we can look it up for you.

I AM GETTING AN ERROR TRYING TO SET UP A NEW ACCOUNT – IT SAYS THE NAME, ADDRESS OR EMAIL ALREADY EXISTS.

  • This means that you already have an account.  Please contact the office by email or at 859.873.5948 to get your log-in credentials.

CAN I CHANGE MY USERNAME AND PASSWORD AFTER I’VE LOGGED IN WITH MY HOUSEHOLD ID NUMBER?

  • Yes, after you log in, we encourage you to go to “MY ACCOUNT” and then “ACCOUNT SETTINGS” and change your username and password to something that is easier for you to remember.

INDOOR POOL & THERAPY POOL

  • The indoor pools are available for fitness use only – per state guidelines, there is no free or recreation swim allowed.
  • The diving boards will remain closed unless for approved team practices.
  • Masks are required unless you are in the pool.
  • The locker rooms are open. Masks MUST be worn in the locker rooms at all times unless showering.

LAP SWIMMING & THERAPY POOL ARE ONLY AVAILABLE BY PREREGISTRATION ONLY!

  • REGISTRATION FOR LAP SWIMMING & THERAPY SLOTS GO LIVE WEEKLY FOR THE FOLLOWING WEEK ON THURSDAYS AT 12:30 PM*
    (*if the Thursday is a holiday, registration will go live on Wednesday at 12:30 PM)
  • Lap Pool Access:
    • One individual may register for a lane and bring up to 3 other people with them (4 people total). Only one person would register, all would swipe their cards or pay the daily admission at the front desk.
    • If you are coming alone but are willing to share your lane with a drop-in swimmer, please place a green cone at the head of your lap lane to indicate you’re okay with up to 2 other swimmers joining you in your lane (3 people total).
    • Not comfortable sharing a lane? No problem! Simply place an orange cone at the head of your lane!
    • Have questions? Stop by the Aquatics office or ask a lifeguard and they’ll be more than happy to help! 
  • Therapy Pool – only 2 people may use the Therapy pool at a time, one at each end of the pool.
  • Pool Reservation Details:
    • Each family member may book up to 5 slots per calendar week.
    • Swim times are offered in 1 hour slots
    • Upon arrival, a guard will assign you a lane
    • When your time is up, the guard will blow the whistle to clear the pool for the next group.

BASKETBALL COURT RULES

  • Courts are open.
  • Please mask when entering/exiting the building or when not actively playing.

INDOOR TRACK

  • The elevated indoor track will be available for waking or jogging. 
  • Walk or run with family members only
  • Please practice social distancing with anyone not in your family

PLAYGROUNDS & PAVILIONS

  • All park playgrounds are open. Maintain social distancing at all times.
  • All park pavilions remain closed

DOG PARK, DISC GOLF, TENNIS COURTS & CROSS COUNTRY TRAIL

  • All are Open!
  • Please practice social distancing at all times.

SPORTS FIELDS

  • Fields are open for individual or family play (playing catch, working on grounders, kicking a soccer ball, etc.)
  • Fields are open for team practices & games.
