FRONT DESK WORKER – HIRING NOW!

Parks & Recreation is seeking to fill the position of Front Desk Worker at Falling Springs Center. Candidates for this position must be:
  • available to work a set schedule of Thursdays & Fridays from 1-9 PM & Saturdays from 1 to 7 PM.
  • comfortable with computers & answering phone calls
  • a good communicator
  • punctual & reliable

LIFEGUARDS

Parks & Recreation is always seeing guards who love the water, enjoy working with people and want a job where you can make a difference and literally save a life! The Lifeguard position will be responsible for ensuring patron safety at the Falling Springs Aquatic Center, which includes the indoor, outdoor and therapy pools. Lifeguards must be 15 years or older and hold a lifeguard certification.  If you do not currently hold a lifeguard certification, we can train you!  Click HERE for more information!

  • LIFEGUARDS
    • Must be at least 15 years old
    • Hold a Lifeguard Certification
    • Be able to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings and weekends
    • Hiring for seasonal and year-round positions.
      • Seasonal positions are up to 40 hours per week for the summer only
      • Part-time positions are 20-25 hours per week year round and may work year round

 

SWIM LESSONS INSTRUCTORS

Parks & Recreation is seeking swim lesson instructors! If you meet description below and can bring the excitement for teaching, we can provide the swim knowledge and training! We are looking for individuals who

SUNSHINE CAMP COUNSELORS – HIRING BEGINS IN APRIL

Sunshine Camp Counselors are responsible for the care, safety and supervision of children participating in Parks & Recreation’s summer Sunshine Day Camp program. In addition to general supervision of campers, counselors are expected to plan activities for their assigned groups and then execute those plans. Potential activities include taking groups on a nature walk around the park, organizing a round of disc golf or a talent show and more. Camp counselors should enjoy spending time with kids, be able to use creativity to make camp days fun and interesting for their group and always put the safety and welfare of their campers first .

Positions:

  • SENIOR CAMP COUNSELOR
    • This is a seasonal position
    • Must be at least 18 years old
    • Have or ability to acquire CPR & First Aid Training
    • Ability to work Monday-Friday between 7 AM and 6 PM
      • Regular shifts are:
        • 7 AM to 4 PM
        • 8 PM to 5 PM
        • 9 AM to 6 PM
    • Up to 40 hours per week
  • JUNIOR CAMP COUNSELOR
    • This is a seasonal position
    • Must be at least 15 years old
    • Have or ability to acquire CPR & First Aid Training
    • Ability to work Monday-Friday
      • Typically works 10 AM to 2 PM
    • 20-25 hours per week

CONCESSIONS WORKERS – HIRING BEGINS IN APRIL

This position is responsible for working the cooking, working counter sales in the outdoor concession stand and the outdoor check-in from Memorial Day weekend thru Labor Day.  

General Information:

  • Seasonal Position
  • Up to 40 hours per week
  • Hours and days vary depending on shifts and assigned job for the day
  • Ability to work various days through the week.  Concessions is open Monday thru Sunday.
  • Must be at least 14 years old
  • Have or the ability to acquire Food Handler Certification thru the Health Department
  • Candidates must be available to work evenings & weekends, including Memorial Day, July 4th and Labor Day
  • Position opened until filled
