The Versailles-Woodford County Parks & Recreation Department manages and maintains all sports fields located at Woodford County Park. With 10 baseball and softball fields and the Community Stadium, our facilities are widely considered some of the nicest in the state.
Our small but mighty maintenance crew works year round to manage the baseball and softball fields. Whether its mowing, raking, dragging, seeding or even capturing the rogue ground hog or mole, they take great pride in ensuring that our fields are not only safe, but are first class facilities for the youth and families of Woodford County.
The Community Stadium, located just behind Falling Springs Center, is home to the WCHS football team, boys’ and girls’ soccer teams and boys’ and girls’ lacrosse teams as well as Woodford Youth Football teams and the older divisions of Bluegrass Soccer Club. The field, build in 1985, received a significant upgrade in 2014 with the addition of a synthetic turf field, making the field playable year round.
