2021 TIKI TROT 10K, 5K & FUN RUN CANCELLED

THE 2021 TIKI TROT (ALL EVENTS) HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO LACK OF REGISTRATIONS.  ALL REGISTERED PARTICIPANTS HAVE BEEN NOTIFIED.

The 2021 Tiki Trot 5K, 10K & Fun Run, scheduled for July 30, is a fun, family-oriented event held at Woodford County Park on the cross-country course.

This is a chip timed event by Race Rise.

Proceeds benefit the Versailles-Woodford County Parks & Recreation Scholarship Fund. This fund offers assistance to individuals & families with financial need so they can participate in Parks & Recreation programs as well as utilize Falling Springs Center. Scholarships are used to provide aid for adult & children in programs such as youth basketball, Start Smart sports programs, martial arts, swim lessons, fitness programs & more, as well as for passes to Falling Springs Center.

Everyone deserves a chance to move, be active & get healthy.  Your participation helps make that happen!

LOCATION

Versailles is located in Central Kentucky, just 10 miles west of  Lexington, 60 miles east of Louisville, 100 miles south of Cincinnati & 180 miles north of Knoxville.

 
ABOUT THE RACE

The 2021 Tiki Trot, to be held Friday, July 30, is a fun, family  oriented event held at the Woodford County Park, the majority of which is on a cross country course. Keeping with the theme, the course will be lit with Tiki Torches & all race finishers will receive a very special welcome as they cross the finish line. If you’re up for even more fun, wear your best island attire during the race! 

The 10K & 5K events are chip timed by Race Rise.

 

COURSE DESCRIPTION
  • 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk Course:  Enjoy a torch lit walk or run on a 1-mile course on the County Park Trails.
  • 5K Course:  The 5K is held on the Woodford County Park cross-country course, one of the most beautiful & challenging courses in the state. (Race entry includes the Fun Run!)
  • 10K Course:  The 10K race is held on held on the Woodford County Park cross-country course and part of the run bike path that goes to Clifton Road & back to the park. This course is one of the most challenging courses in the state. (Race entry includes the Fun Run!)

 

AID STATIONS

There will be aid stations with water at at two locations on the 5K course and three locations on the 10K course.

 

REGISTRATION FEES

NOTE: SHIRTS ARE NOT GUARANTEED FOR REGISTRATIONS RECEIVED AFTER JULY 25.  EXTRA SHIRTS WILL BE ORDERED & DISTRIBUTED ON A FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED BASIS TO THOSE REGISTERED AFTER 7/25/21.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION
  • Registration accepted by:
    • Mail
    • Online until 12 PM on Thursday, July 29
    • In person at Falling Springs Center
    • Race day registrations are accepted at Falling Springs Center until 6 PM

 

PACKET PICK-UP

Friday, July 30:

  • 9 AM to 5 PM at Falling Springs Center
  • Packet pick-up moves to Huffman Pavilion at 5:15 PM        

 

Race Day

  • 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk begins at 6:30 PM
  • 10K begins at 7:00 PM
  • 5K begin at 7:15 PM

 

AWARDS

Awards will be presented for the 10K & 5K at the Falling Springs Splash Pool after the race, so plan to stick around for the Moonlight Swim! Awards will be presented to the top 3 overall male & female finishers and to the top 3 male & female finishers in each age group (age groups are in 5 year increments from 10 & under through 70+). Age is based on participant’s age on December 31, 2021.

REFUND POLICY

Refunds are not given for injuries, illness, schedule conflicts, inclement weather, etc. after July 25, 2021. The Versailles-Woodford County Parks & Recreation Department reserves the right to alter the format or cancel events for safety reasons due to inclement weather, course conditions, or other unforeseen circumstances. If the course is altered due to unforeseen circumstances or if the race is cancelled due to inclement weather, there will be no refunds. For insurance purposes, there is no transferring of bib numbers to another athlete.

IMPORTANT:

If you have had any transactions with or department in the past 7 years (race registrations, activity registrations, pass memberships or reservations) you already have an account with us and the system has already generated log-in credentials for your account unless you’ve logged in previously and changed them. For example, if you’ve done the Tiki Trot in the past 7 years, you already have a username and password. Until you change them after logging to your account, your username AND password is your Household ID number (explained below).  The Password Reset option WILL NOT WORK until you’ve logged in using your Household ID as your Username and Password for the first time. If you do not know your household ID number, you can call us at 859.873.5948 or send an email to awaits@vwcparksrec.com and we can give it to you.

 

WebTrac Instructions for First Time Log-ins

  1. Click Log-in and enter your log-in credentials.
    1. If you have had any transactions with Parks & Recreation in the past 7 years, you should have an account in our system. If this is the case and it is your first-time logging into WebTrac:
      1. Your User Name & Password is your Household ID number for both fields.
      2. You can find your Household ID on any receipt from a previous transaction with Parks & Recreation. (If you do not have an old receipt, please contact us at 859.873.5948 and we can give you this information.)
  2. If you are new to Parks & Recreation or have not had ANY transactions with us within the past 7 years, please click “If you’re a brand-new patron with us, please click here to register for a new account,” and set up an account with your household information (if you get an error that says a name, address, phone number or email address is duplicate you most likely already have an account. Do not continue and please contact us for your log-in information.
  3. Once you are logged in for the first time, please click MY ACCOUNT → UPDATE → “ACCOUNT SETTINGS” to change your username and password to anything you want.
    1. Enter your new username where it says “New Log-in” and then re-enter it on the line that reads “Re-Type Login”
    2. Please set your new Password where indicated.
    3. If you would like to change your Primary email address, you can do so in the bottom section where it says, “Change your Email”.
    4. Click submit to save changes.
  4. Next, please click on My Account again and then click on Household & Member.
    1. Please verify and make any changes to your address, phone numbers and other items as necessary.
    2. Make sure to click YES to “Authorize Contacts Via Email.” If you don’t, you won’t receive email updates regarding the race.
  5. Please makes sure your family member and emergency contact information are up to date.
  6. Once you have finished verifying your household info, please click save.
